If, like me, you use your PC on a daily basis, it definitely helps to learn all of the shortcuts to speed up daily tasks. So below I have compiled a list of useful shortcuts to make you more efficient in your daily tasks.
Windows Key Shortcuts
Windows + D | Minimise all windows. |
Windows + E | Open Windows Explorer. |
Windows + L | Lock your PC. |
Windows + M | Minimise all Windows |
Windows + Up | Maximise Window |
Windows + Left | Lock the screen to the left half |
Windows + Right | Lock the screen to the right half |
Browser Shortcuts
Ctrl + Tab | Cycle through open tabs |
Ctrl + Shift + Tab | Cycle backwards through tabs |
Ctrl + Number (1-9) | Select (n)th tab |
Other Tips
To minimise all windows apart from the one you are on. Select the window bar & shake it back and forth to minimise all other windows.
Ctrl + Tab: Cycle through open windows.
Ctrl + Shift + Tab: Cycle through windows & leave the menu open.
Ctrl Shift + N: Create a New folder.
Shift + Delete: Permanently delete, bypassing the Recycle Bin.
Ctrl + Shift + Esc: Immediately open the Task Manager.
